ABOUT
I have over 30 years of experience as a professional pianist and an extensive repertoire of classical, jazz, standards, musicals, rock & pop. After a 21 year run as a full-time musician in Los Angeles, I recently relocated to Saint Johns, Florida! I’m now happily serving the First Coast in Northeast Florida including Jacksonville, St Johns, St Augustine, Ponte Vedra, Amelia Island and more! I can be found performing at various venues throughout the area – check out my show schedule for my current public performances. I also play piano for all kinds of events including corporate events, weddings, birthdays, charity galas & holiday parties.
During my two decades as a full-time working musician in Los Angeles, I maintained long term residencies at luxury hotels, restaurants and shopping malls. Most recently, I was a resident pianist in the iconic bar at Hotel Bel-Air for 6 years. During the 15 months that in-person events were not happening in CA, I kept busy doing live stream concerts and performing live for virtual events multiple times per week.

Live music has a unique ability to unite people! Since arriving in Saint Johns, FL, I've had the wonderful opportunity to perform at a variety of community events. It all began in RiverTown, where my eagerness to engage with our new community was the catalyst for me to become a regular performer at The RiverClub. The RiverClub is a revered spot for fellow residents to gather, take a dip in the pool, enjoy food, drinks and live music, all while fostering friendships with neighbors. In recent months, word about me has spread to other residential communities and now I'm venturing out into their communal spaces. I have the pleasure of providing the musical ambiance for residents as they come together to break bread, share a drink, and sing some songs while forging new friendships. These pictures are from @palaciostjohns, a local residential community that has booked me to play regularly on Thursdays for their community happy hour 4-6pm. Yay! I am deeply grateful for the privilege of using my music to bring joy and deeper connections; especially to those that may have recently moved here to Florida like myself. I love what I do. Bringing people together, one song at a time! #livemusic #CommunityEvent #takingrequests #livepiano #MusicalConnections

2 Keyboards 🎹 🎹 1 Wedding 💍 When someone inquires for me to play at a wedding, there are several logistics to consider. Most commonly, I am requested to play for the wedding ceremony, or cocktail hour, or sometimes for both. One of the first questions we ask is if the venue has a piano. If not, then I will likely be bringing my keyboard, or we can also arrange for piano rental and delivery. When I am playing both a ceremony and cocktail hour, these logistics are important because when the ceremony ends, we move straight into the cocktail hour, usually in a different location. This works seamlessly at venues where they have a piano. Often, the ceremony may take place outside where I set up my keyboard, and then I’ll quickly strike and go inside to play the venue’s piano for cocktail hour. Sometimes, the logistics can be trickier to figure out. Last week, I was hired to play a wedding at The Treasury in Saint Augustine where there was no piano, and the bride and groom really wanted me to play for both their ceremony and cocktail hour. We discussed a couple of scenarios before they booked me, including the idea of renting a piano. Ultimately, we decided that I would bring two keyboards. After consulting with the DJ, we determined that I could use his sound system for one of my setups to help streamline things a bit. I arrived extra early in order to set up two sets of gear. I used my Nord Grand and plugged into the DJ’s sound system in the Grand Ballroom for the ceremony. And I set up my Roland keyboard with my Bose sound system in the Exchange Gallery for the cocktail hour to follow. All the extra planning and preparation paid off! As soon as I struck the last note of the recessional song, “It’s Not Living If It’s Not With You” by The 1975, I leapt up and was able to rush through the staff area, beating the crowd and having “Piano Man” underway as the first guests entered with big smiles, ready to celebrate the happy couple! Although there were many moving parts to this, the key is knowing the right questions to ask and coordinating in advance with the other pros on the team, including the wedding planner and DJ, to ensure that everything runs smoothly.
