Jeremy Weinglass is an award-winning, classically trained pianist who connects with audiences through his music as well as his upbeat personality. With more than 25 years of professional experience, an extensive repertoire, and the ability to quickly learn new music, Jeremy is in high demand to perform for corporate and entertainment industry events, charity galas, weddings, and private parties throughout Southern California.

Jeremy has been performing professionally since the age of 12 and possesses a melodic, passionate performance style. He maintains a broad range of repertoire across various genres including classical, jazz, standards, musicals, rock, pop and his original compositions. While he often performs as a solo artist, he also works with other outstanding musicians and can create various ensembles that include double bass, violin, cello and/or vocals. Jeremy earned his Bachelor’s degree in Music Composition from UC Santa Barbara and has a talent and passion for composing for piano.

“Jeremy Weinglass is not only a total professional, he is a creative master and an incredible musician. I have had the pleasure of hiring Jeremy for numerous Honeysweet events ranging from small private events to large high ticket non-profit galas. He has played classical, pop, jazz and Browadway music for me. He has performed his own compositions – most recently for a very moving “in memorium” moment for Stop Cancer. He is always impeccably dressed, on time and well prepared. I highly recommend this very gifted artist.”

– Erick Weiss,  President of Honeysweet Creative

Jeremy’s musical talents and dedication were identified early on as a young child. At the age of six, he received a scholarship to begin his musical studies at The Nueva School, a small private school for gifted children. The son of a single mom, Jeremy would not have been able to attend the prestigious school without a scholarship. He was also fortunate to receive further guidance and mentoring through Big Brothers Big Sisters. (More about Jeremy’s story and experience with Big Brothers Big Sisters can be read on his blog.)

Jeremy became an original member of the San Francisco Bay Area’s Ragazzi Boys’ Chorus and attended advanced piano and theory classes at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. During his middle and high school years, Jeremy played piano with jazz bands, accompanied choirs, and performed in school musical productions. It was during this time Jeremy studied with Thomas La Ratta, former music director at Notre Dame de Namur University, whom he considers his most influential teacher. Jeremy attended Notre Dame for a year after high school to study piano performance before earning a bachelor’s degree in Music Composition at UC Santa Barbara, where he gained experience in vocal and music direction of musical productions, as well as creating a course to teach students his original compositions for performance by the UCSB orchestra for his senior recital.

Since moving to Los Angeles in 2001, Jeremy has built a solid reputation as an exceptional pianist for special events and has worked directly with many high-profile clients as well as some of the most respected event professionals. He has maintained long term residencies at hotels, restaurants and shopping malls. Jeremy’s original compositions have been licensed for use on TV shows and he appeared as the featured pianist for a wedding ceremony on David Tutera’s My Fair Wedding during the 2011 season. He has won awards for both performing and composing. In 2009, he formed Weinglass Music with his wife and business partner, Kim. He has been a resident pianist at the Hotel Bel-Air since 2016.

“I have met and listened to many young up-and-coming contemporary pianists, but Jeremy Weinglass really stands out! Not only as a dynamic performer but, as an important new voice in original piano composition. Jeremy is a talent to be reckoned with!”

– David Lanz, pianist and composer

Jeremy’s solo piano album, “Dreams,” released in 2005, features the best of his original music spanning a 10-year period. In 2008, he ambitiously recorded eight solo piano albums in just three days, which feature some of the best of his repertoire across different genres of music: “Classical Masterpieces,” “Christmas,” “Love Ballads,” “Jazz Hits,” “Rock Classics,” “Musical Show-Stoppers,” “Pop Favorites” and “Timeless Inspirations.”

In 2010, Jeremy composed “The Divine Within” for a dear friend and fan, Mason, for his 15th birthday; the song was released as a single a year later. In honor of the inspiration that Mason provided for the song, Jeremy donates 50% of the proceeds from “The Divine Within” to Mason’s charity of choice, Wheels for Humanity, a wonderful organization that provides wheelchairs to people in need all over the world. More about this story can be read on Jeremy’s blog. “The Divine Within” was nominated for best contemporary classical song by Hollywood Music in Media Awards in 2014.

Also in 2010, Jeremy released “Odyssey: A Twelve-Month Revolution” featuring violinist Chris Woods (“American Idol,” “The Voice”), whom he met while performing at Agape International Spiritual Center. “Odyssey” ties together the natural moods of the year through a 12-part musical journey in all 12 keys.

Jeremy’s latest full-length album, “Choose Love,” includes material from his 24 years of composing. The 17 solo piano tracks include the first song he wrote when he was 11 through his most recent composition that he wrote for his young daughter. Each composition was inspired by significant people or events in his life and evolve as his sources of inspiration have evolved. Recorded at Sony Pictures Scoring Stage in 2013, the self-released album was fan-funded through a successful IndieGogo campaign and ranked on the Top 100 Radio Airplay Chart of Zone Music Reporter for January-August in 2014.

In 2014, his creative endeavor was to record his song “Choose Love” the way he had originally envisioned it. He spent the year working with producer Andres “Pookie” Jamerson to record the song utilizing the talents of many artists and musicians with whom he had worked throughout his career. “Choose Love” was released as a single in April 2015 and received recognition by the Akademia Music Awards, winning best song in the Gospel/R&B category in July 2015.

“Working with Jeremy on his “Odyssey” has been one of the highlights of my producing career. Arranged for piano and violin (expertly performed by Chris Woods), “Odyssey” takes the listener on a 12-month cycle that is infused with lyricism and inspiration. Contemporary romantic piano music has never been more relevant and touching than in the way Jeremy successfully blends musical flavors evocative of the classics while weaving together modern flavors into an absolutely timeless canvas that connects with our deepest sensibilities. Jeremy, while still young, follows in the footsteps of some of the great romantic composers of the 19th and 20th century. His music is self assured yet unpretentious, powerful yet never bombastic, intricate yet always tasteful. Foremost it is always inspired and sincere.”

– David Bergeaud, composer and producer (producer of “Odyssey”)

Striving to expand ways of sharing his music with the world while making a positive impact, Jeremy was inspired to create an original music and dance production that brought the story of “Odyssey” to life. He assembled an accomplished team to realize this vision, including choreographer and modern dancer Michelle “Star” LaVon and director Stephen Hues. Performed in 2011 to a sold-out 360-person audience at the El Portal Theatre in North Hollywood, the production showcased Jeremy as an artist with broad talent and vision. Jeremy donated 100% of net ticket sales to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Los Angeles.

In 2013, in an effort to improve his speaking ability on stage and to expand his potential as a performer, Jeremy joined Toastmasters. He hit the ground running and competed in the 2014 International Speech Contest with his speech “Standing Tall.” Competing again in 2015, he earned the title Area Contest Champion 2015 with his speech “Melody of Life” about becoming a father to his baby girl, Melody. He is currently a member of Motivated Toastmasters and the Area Director for B24, District 52. Jeremy is a also founding member of Captivating Accredited Speakers Association, through which he trains others in public speaking while simultaneously boosting their self-confidence.

Jeremy shares a life full of music, contribution, travel and growth with his wife, Kim, and their daughter, Melody.
